Dhea Mather is an eco-friendly farm that produces a very basic line of cosmetic products, focusing primarily on the quality of the raw material: donkey milk.
The farm's operators care deeply about animal welfare with full respect for the puppies, taking only a limited amount of milk from the mother and balancing the nutrition of the foals.
Dhea Mather is among the few farms in Italy that use only fresh milk from Sardinian donkeys, which has not undergone any conservation process and is immediately used to produce our natural cosmetics.
The animals live in complete freedom in wild pastures, immersed in the unspoiled nature of the Mediterranean maquis of Mandrolisai, in central Sardinia. The active compounds contained in the herbs on which the donkeys feed make this milk truly unique, and its qualities are transferred to Dhea Mather cosmetic products.
In the small village of Pau, there is a unique museum in Europe dedicated to obsidian, precious black glass generated by the volcanic massif of Mount Arci, used in prehistoric times for the production of sharp working tools.
A few kilometers from the museum, surrounded by the green centuries-old forests of the Obsidian Park, is the Black Stone Trail, in the Sardinian language baptized Sa Scaba Crobina, covered with splinters and scraps of workmanship, evidence of the intense chipping activity that began about 6500 years ago.
My experience in Sardinia was excellent.
The trip was well organized and we were well looked after by the organization. The gigs themselves were really cool, fun, and well organized with top session musicians from the area backing us and making our job easy.
The audiences were very appreciative and warmed to the music even if some of them were not familiar with our songs. Also outside of the gig, we were shown around the area to some of the historical sites and given first-hand knowledge of the history of Sardinia by our hosts.
